This year’s Master’s challenge will be undertaken on the Velocity zip wire at Zip World (Penrhyn Quarry, Bangor LL57 4YJ) as a fundraising event in support of the Spectacle Makers’ Charity. The Master will race across the quarry accompanied by her Consorts. There will be a fourth zip wire available for one of our members. The chance to participate will be done by ballot – so make sure you throw your hat in the ring by emailing the office.

The Velocity zip wire is one of Europe’s fastest and takes place over the Zip World quarry site. There will be the possibility for members to have lunch before watching the Master fly across the quarry, at your own expense. For those travelling to watch the challenge, there will be the chance to arrange dinner following in one of the nearby towns. More details will follow so please keep an eye on the website.

Members are very welcome to attend on the day to support the Master. Those who can’t come may consider donating towards the appeal. The last Master’s Challenge succeeded in raising £8,000. Let’s try and smash that record.
