SAM® is compatible with the very latest, and future, developments. SAM® accepts and calculates input from advancing areas such as wave front technology. The manipulation of such input data is employed for creating both bespoke and mass-market lenses.

In addition to sub-micron accuracy, SAM® allows for considerations such as the whole lens eye system, including drape of the lens on eye and non-isotropic material expansion factors. It also optimises manufacturing efficiency by taking into account the machining capabilities of the manufacturing processes used. The system is tailored to increase calculation orders as new generation manufacturing capabilities, with tighter tolerances, are developed.

Flaring is reduced or eliminated, being particularly apparent to the wearer in low-light conditions.
