Training by Day Release

City and Islington College

College attendance for Technicians near London

One day per week over two years.

No educational requirements for course enrolment, but applicants should have been employed in the industry for at least two years and be within easy
travelling distance of City & Islington College.

Much of the training is of a practical nature but it is also essential to understand the theory behind the practical work so that, when qualified, a technician will be capable of seeing a lens through from its initial "blank" stage to fitting into the spectacle frame.

Lead tutor: Peter Dobson

The programme prepares the student for the examination.

Course Fee: £275.00 per year*
1st year Exam Enrolment: £45.00
2nd year Exam Enrolment: £65.00
Next Course commences September 2002
